May 2009 Letter
Hi
All,
As most of you know, I am back from my sabbatical and working again in the
office, and enjoying sitting with people again.
I am now re-certified to take all the major insurances again,
including Preferred Care/MVP, Excellus (the Blues, Lifetime Health), Cigna,
Aetna and Medicare. If you have a different carrier, feel free to ask me
as I might be covered by them under a different umbrella. I am also on
several EAP (Employee Assistance Plans) and you can ask your HR or EAP reps if I
am on the panel for your company.
If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please let me know your
coverage, policy number, DOB, full name and address and I can let you know what
your co-pay will be.
For those without insurance, the fee is $70/hour.
I do telephone sessions as well as Skype or other internet videophone sessions,
and they have all worked out very well for those who are longer distances or
unable to come in.
If you detect a shared purpose, or have any questions, you can contact me via
email at goldstein.ellen@gmail.com,
or on my office phone, the same number as before, 585.271.2710.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested.
Many thanks for your ongoing presence,
Best,
Ellen
January 2009 Letter
Hi All,
It's
been a wonderful sabbatical, and while at the beginning I had no idea what would
follow, it's been a full, rich interval for me. Since May of 2007, it has
been great for me to have abundant time with my husband, and to feel free to
wander through days without knowing what comes next. I've enjoyed a quiet,
settling-in to everyday life, great family time, recreation and creative
endeavors.
And, things do change, and with that, decisions make themselves. Happily,
I have decided to go back to being active with folks in my office again, though
in a different form, and am very excited about the possibilities. What I
will be offering is an opportunity for us to sit and explore together in a
creative way. The form will be one of consulting, coaching, short-term
problem solving, check-in, tune-up, touch-in. We can look together
at all manner of concerns, including exploring relationships, purpose, work or
personal goals, transpersonal, or spiritual, issues. Together, we will
make a plan for addressing your needs, and it might look like one session from
time to time, or a series of sessions for a short while. Telephone
sessions will also be available.
Even though, in the past, I have been able to be flexible and to have my
own style of working, the limitations of the managed care system are what they
are. I prefer to work outside the constraints of that system, and so, at
this time, I will not be accepting insurance. What you will not find is a
psychotherapy orientation. If we discover that psychotherapy is best to
meet your needs, I will be happy to refer you to the appropriate caregivers.
I am beginning in a low-key way, telling you and a few others that I am going to
be available. Please feel free to get in touch with me so that we
may decide together whether the timing and purpose are right and what the best
means are to whatever ends you wish for. I look forward to sharing
creative time with you and to the opportunity to make a contribution.
I hope that my wishes are in harmony with your interests, and certainly with
those of anyone you feel would benefit.
The "business" arrangement for this endeavor will be on a fee-basis,
at $70/hour.
If you detect a shared purpose, or have any questions, you can contact me via
email at goldstein.ellen@gmail.com,
or on my office phone, the same number as before, 585.271.2710.
Many thanks for your ongoing presence,
Ellen

February 2007 Letter
Dear All,
It has been a while since I've been in touch. I have some news to share, and
hope that this reaches you in good health and happy states.
I have made a decision to take a sabbatical from private practice and am going
to begin this change on May 31, 2007. For those of you who might be
concerned, please do not be, as all is well. There have been recent and happy
changes in my life, and, coincidentally, some family needs that require my
attention even before June. Between now and then, I will continue to have
office hours Tuesdays through Thursdays .
This has not been an easy decision to make, simply because the work that I
have been privileged to do these many years has been so special in so many
ways, the relationships so rich and nourishing. At the same time, this
has been emerged as a clear choice for the opportunity to focus on the more
personal domains of my life, on family, friends, travel,, education, renewal
-- all of which are calling strongly.
I thank you for your interest, always, and wish you wonderful days.
Best,
Ellen
Fall 2007 Newsletter
IT’S
BEEN A LONG TIME!!!
I know it’s been a while since an
“official newsletter” has been distributed, so I’d like to update you on
the latest developments. I thank
you all for your patience during this time of transition.
As many of you know, I continue to meet
with people in the West Brighton office, which is delightful, full of light,
with a lovely treetop view overlooking a
creek. I am grateful to be in an environment that is natural and relaxing in
itself.
The website is basic, up and
running, and new additions will be made as time goes on. Please visit the website at www.elljoy.com.
Please note
that this newsletter and regular updates are delivered via email. To join the
email list, please call or send your email address to me.
Paper mailings will be infrequent, at best, and I want to keep
you informed. Let me know if paper mail is your only option. Thanks.
If you know of anyone who would like to
receive these mailings, have them send me their information, and I will happy
to add them to the list.
In joy!
Ellen

Coming into a work setting, evaluating needs, and offering specific recommendations can be done. I do collaborate with Professional Consulting Firms to offer broader services, training programs and Personal and Executive Coaching on-site.
Presentations and Experiential Workshops
for Existing Groups
In-service presentations in your work group, or experiences for your personal or family group. Ongoing or one-time meaningful and fruitful events are designed to meet your particular needs.
